Black and white poster for an exhibition titled 'Home is Where the Art Is' 2025-2026, by Ekandji Family.

Who we are

We are a collective born not in boardrooms but around kitchen tables, in the quiet of shared walls and the rhythm of everyday life. Art has always been our language — the way we remember, the way we dream, the way we hold one another.

As a family, we carry many voices and many hands, yet a single thread binds us: the belief that creativity is not separate from living, but woven into it. Each work we create is both personal and communal, carrying traces of inheritance and echoes of togetherness.

Our collective is made of family members, and guided by family values — trust, memory, generosity, continuity. To us, art is not a profession alone. It is the foundation of our home and the heartbeat of our bonds.

Through our year-long exhibition, Home Is Where the Art Is, we open our doors and invite others into this living canvas. Here, you will not only see artworks. You will see a household, a lineage, and a shared devotion to making beauty part of daily life.
